It is unfortunate that Tamil Nadu’s riparian rights are denied by the neighbouring States, Tamils are subjected to ill-treatment without any valid reason and the Centre has turned a Nelson’s eye to the plight of the people affected by cyclone ‘Thane,’ said T. Velmurugan, founder of the Tamilaga Vazhvurimai Katchi (TVK).

Velmurugan, founder of the Tamilaga Vazhvurimai Katchi (TVK).
He was addressing the first “political awareness conference” of the party at Manjakuppam Grounds here on Sunday. Mr. Velmurugan said the TVK was established with the prime objective of retrieving the rights of Tamils. The Centre had cheated the people of Tamil Nadu by not sanctioning adequate cyclone relief.
